MINI is a British automobile marque. It was founded in 1969 and has been owned by German automaker BMW since 2000. Even though the company was established in 1969, the name “MINI” was in use since 1959 when it built the first original two-door compact car which was manufactured by the British Motor Corporation (BMC). Presently, the MINI Countryman and Convertible are assembled in Born, Netherlands, whereas the MINI Hatch/hardtop, Roadster, and Clubman are assembled at the BMW's plant in Oxford, England as well as in the Netherlands.
